Ultra low-volume mask built with the underwater hockey player in mind. In addition to the standard features you would expect to find in a quality mask, The Equalizer mask has a boat-load of other features that have proven to be excellent for underwater hockey. The shape of the lens extends far down the cheek-bone and opens up the blind spot in your downward vision. This is critical for puck handling skills on the bottom. The gray areas you see on the frame are actually rubberized. The addition of the rubberized coating on the poly-carbonate frame absorbs shock from a puck or other hit. There is also an extended silicone “buffer” at the top / center of the skirt, and is cut into the back of the frame. If you are kicked in the face, the buffer absorbs shock before the plastic frame can be felt on the bridge of your nose. There are 2 folds in the silicone skirt on each side of the nose. If playing in a deeper pool where you need to equalize, the folds expand as the nose is squeezed, this prevents the skirt from becoming misshapen and leaking under the nose. Lenses are 3.8mm tempered glass, most masks are 3.2 mm. Highlights:

The puck utilizes a replaceable Delrin (hard plastic) slider on both sides which exhibits a very low co-efficient of friction and extreme wear resistance; for improved wear life the brass slider or stainless steel slider option is now available. The brass/stainless option allows the puck to slide with ease on the rougher bottoms including concrete/gunite; not recommended for shiny glass tile bottoms. If the sliders do become worn, they are easily replaceable with new sliders. The outer coating on the puck is made from a two-part poly urethane which very tough, yet soft enough to allow for the stick to grip the puck. In the end, you get a puck that slides wicked fast, stick-handles and shoots very well.

The image of the puck is shown with the bright pink coloring and a polished stainless steel slider. Stainless steel sliders are now available for sale! The brass and stainless steel sliders come lightly polished.
